Get Your Kids to Do Chores
Who knew that letting your children log on to the Internet could motivate them to complete household chores with little push back. With Handipoints, that's exactly the case.

Started in early 2007, the startup allows parents to build a virtual chore chart. From making beds to taking out the trash - when items on the list are completed - children are rewarded.

They are issued “handipoints" that are redeemable for real-world items, such as small toys. Or they can be used to make purchases in HandiLand, a virtual world where kids can interact with other kids. (Communication is limited, allowing only 'canned' statements to be exchanged). From adopting and caring for fictional pets, to purchasing movies, parents determine the point system and/or the reward.

Now teaching responsible habits and doing chores can be fun. The environment is safe for kids and headache relief for parents. There are currently 150k users. What are you waiting for? Give it a try today and let us know how it turns out.
