Keeping your husband happy with your cooking
If you want your husband to be happy with your cooking, learn to cook like his mother. This would include the dishes she made as well as the combinations of food that she presented. For example, if she served ham and green beans, avoid ham and corn.

Better yet, tell hubby to grow up... or schedule cooking classes for HIM with your mother-in-law so he can learn to cook for himself.

Unless she was a terrible cook & he likes your Mom's better!

If hubby loves his mommy's cooking that much maybe he should go to her house and eat every night,or she could ship a week's supply to him on dry ice. There's nothing wrong with trying to please your spouse, but he married you not his mother..

I agree with these other comments, you shouldn't have to cook like his mother. If he doesn't like how you cook, then HE can start cooking and grow up. You shouldn't have to cater to his eating habits.

Trying to be like your husband's mother is a little creepy, and coddling. Why can't he keep himself happy by cooking for himself?

I think that a man should try to keep his wife happy by learning to watch sports from the sofa like her father always did. Yes, sarcasm is intended.

Well, if I was fond of freezer burned meat and nasty combinations, I sure would learn to cook like the MIL!

I agree with the other comments. If he wanted you to cook like his mother, then he should still live at home!

well what if the spouses mother can't cook worth a darn... my boyfriend hates his mom's cooking but loves mine just the way i do it. so to your comment i say it isn't correct in any way shape or form.

I have a completely different cooking style than my husband's mother except for a few select dishes. The effort I took to learn his mother's spritz cookie recipe pays off every year. This year he thought they were even better than the original!

Learn to cook a few of his favorite dishes from his Mom--they might be tasty! New recipies never hurt. Just don't try to be "like" his Mom--he needs to learn to love your recipes too.
