Easy and inexpensive cold sore treatment
Get some Listerine and hold it on the cold sore. You will feel the tingle and it actually helps to reduce the swelling. Use Neosporin to help with the scab that develops after and your cold sore will take about a day or two less to heal. I've gotten them since I was a child and this has always been my method.
