How to get your child to give up the pacifier
Make a big deal out of wrapping up the pacifiers in a box like a present with your child. You can even write a little note explaining how your child is a "big boy/girl" now and will not need them anymore. Then "deliver" the present to your local hospital or donation center (Goodwill, etc.) with your child to give the "present" to the babies who need them.
