How to extend virtual memory
For Windows Vista, go to...
1.) Control Panel.
2.) System and Maintenance.
3.) System.
4.) Under computer name, domain, and workgroup, click Change Settings.
5.) Advanced tab.
6.) Advanced again.
7.) Virtual Memory.
8. ) Adjust the size of your paging file here.

I would recommend letting your OS set the Virtual memory on your hard drives. It often will only use a certain amount of Hard Disk as VM anyway.
