Use extra plastic toys to label garden rows
My daughter's surplus, inexpensive plastic toys make great row markers for identifying different vegetable rows. This allows her to feel like she's making a contribution to our garden and not simply disposing of extra toys. For example, simply mark the vegetable name with a Sharpie on the toy and embed it in the soil at the end of the row. Make sure to secure it in the soil as you would any other marker.
