Use large aluminum pans as litter box for cat
Plastic litter pans for cats are expensive and absorb waste odors. Use large-size aluminum roasting pans (used for making lasagna) instead. I find them for a dollar each at discount and dollar stores. The cats don't seem to mind the texture of the aluminum, and it doesn't absorb the odors. If they do get soiled, it's no problem to toss it out and put down a fresh one price, since they are so inexpensive.

"If it gets dirty, don't wash it but just throw it away" Can't say I like this evolution...

This is very wasteful, and not planet friendly. Don't be lazy, wash the litter box.
