Sanitize your toothbrush in microwave weekly
My dentist told me the best way to sanitize a toothbrush is to place it in a microwave for 15 seconds. The microwave radiation kills the germs, bacteria and microbes that can dwell in your toothbrush. He recommended doing this about once a week.

Wet, definitely wet. My dentist said that many people would be amazed at the number of bacteria that live on a toothbrush, even one used only a couple of times.
