Shortcut keys for sub and superscript in Word
In MS Word, it is annoying to suddenly click on subscript and superscript symbols while you are in a flow of typing lengthy documents. However, using shortcut keys to do the same greatly enhances typing speed. To change selected text to subscript press Ctrl+Equal Sign keys. For superscript, press Ctrl+Shift+Equal Sign keys.

Non chlorine alternative for swimming pools
Chlorine is required to be added to a swimming pool to help it kill bacteria. But the addition of Chlorine also causes severe skin allergies and is damaging to eyes. However, there are several non-chlorine alternatives (like bromine, ozone etc) available in the market which are relatively safer. They also don't produce the characteristic chlorine smell in a swimming pool.

Green tips for using copiers and laser printers
Most of the laser printers and copiers emit toner dust and ozone gas which is toxic. You must check if they are fitted with ozone filters before buying them and ensure the filters are periodically replaced. Since some dust and ozone leaks from such filters anyways, these machines should be kept in big, ventilated rooms. Use toner masks while replacing them and have several plants in the office which can absorb toxic gases released by copiers/printers.

Natural cleaning solution
Take an old Windex sized spray bottle and clean it out real well. Add approximately 10 drops each of tea tree and peppermint oils and fill bottle with water. This is great for cleaning and smells wonderful. The 2 oils together have good antibacterial qualities.

Gift ideas for tenants
Giving a gift to a tenant is a tricky part as you have to think both ways: the gift should be somewhat personal in nature and should also look like an incentive to retain good tenants. Try gifting things which are useful to them and also a good add-on to your own house eg. new ACs, upgraded hardware in bathrooms or kitchen, washer/dryer. To attract new tenants you can try incentives like free rent for first month, paying moving expenses and free high-speed internet.

How to get the poison out
Stung by a bee or bit by a spider? Have a minor infection? The best way to get the poison or infection out without paying expensive doctor bills is one of two methods. Take a piece of white bread with milk on it uncovered or a soft cooked onion peel covered and leave on for 15 minutes and repeat as needed until sewlling/infection has gone. Works great on my kids, many times.

Employment > Coworkers
Giving a negative employee reference
It is much more challenging to give a negative reference for your ex-employee. First you should choose to give no or little information. Writing derogatory remarks is a simple recipe to end up in a lawsuit. Not offering any information about the performance is also as good as giving a negative reference. You can also choose to comment on other things than performance. If you know the other employer, you can casually give your exact opinion.

Use local produce and reduce energy consumption
There is more to buying local produce from a farmer's market than to have things fresh and nutritious at your dining table. It takes little energy and less packaging to put locally grown fruits, vegetables etc. to market. You also avoid using produce grown using toxic chemicals which is usually required to keep food fresh if it is to be marketed to long distances.
