 | | | Use your metal door as a memory reminder Put your metal walk in door to good use as a memory jogger. Using magnets (gimme's work best because they are so strong) attach your family's calendar, notes, school projects or "to do" lists to the door. As you leave the house, you will see the attached papers and will "remember" what you previously forgot. A great way to use your otherwise unused door. | | | | | | Susan in Coralville, Iowa | Tips Published: 24 Forward to Friend | Post Comment | Comments (1)

 | | | Be a tourist in your own town I'm currently compiling a 'Day Trip List' and notebook. I often find myself last minute trying to find a fun activity to do with my family on the perfect Saturday. I often get comments from my husband and kids, "So, what are we going to do today?" Yikes, my mind goes blank and I get frustrated. I decided to have a comprehensive list of places to visit with addresses, maps already printed out and websites associated with it so we can just GO and enjoy. | | | | | | Christine in Amesbury, MA | Tips Published: 4 Forward to Friend | Post Comment | Comments (0)

 | | | How to make your stroller stand out If you are going to a busy place like an amusement park or zoo and especially if you are planning on renting a stroller, bring something along to tie on and make your stroller stand out. A small balloon or ribbon will make it easier to find in the crowd when you have parked it with the hundreds of other strollers to look at something or eat. | | | | | | Anonymous Forward to Friend | Post Comment | Comments (0)

 | | | Make your own chalk signs for the kids We don't have sidewalks on our street so to help them know boundaries, we draw things on the ground. We draw lines on the side and arrows so they know which way to go and not to go too far in the road, and stop signs so they remember when to stop. All the kids in the neighborhood enjoy using this and when it rains we have fun making them again. I think the drivers appreciate it too. | | | | | | Anonymous Forward to Friend | Post Comment | Comments (2)

 | | | Turn fence corner into a cafe with paint When we were painting our fence, we decided to make a little cafe area for our kids. We painted a section of our side of the fence in colorful paints to look like a cafe and used chalkboard paint on part of it so they can write the menu or just to draw on. The kids can decorate with their own tables and chairs and be ready for fun. | | | | | | Anonymous Forward to Friend | Post Comment | Comments (0)

 | | | Title pages for home movies Want interesting title or spacer pages for your home movies? Take snaps of maps, road signs and even souvenirs. This gives you basic pictures to add text to in order to divide your home movie into sections and keeps a semblance of continuity throughout the movie as well. | | | | | | Susan in Coralville, Iowa | Tips Published: 24 Forward to Friend | Post Comment | Comments (0)

 | | | Create mommy and daddy business cards Instead of always searching for a piece of paper to write your contact information down on, carry Mommy/Daddy cards with you! They look like business cards, but have your home address, phone number, e-mail address and children's names instead of business info. It's a great way to share your contact information with other moms and dads in playgroups, school organizations, scouts, etc. | | | | | | Katie in Noblesville, IN | Tips Published: 4 Forward to Friend | Post Comment | Comments (0)
