Put your metal walk in door to good use as a memory jogger. Using magnets (gimme's work best because they are so strong) attach your family's calendar, notes, school projects or "to do" lists to the door. We don't have sidewalks on our street so to help them know boundaries, we draw things on the ground. We draw lines on the side and arrows so they know which way to go and not to go too far in the road, and stop signs so they remember when to stop. When we were painting our fence, we decided to make a little cafe area for our kids. We painted a section of our side of the fence in colorful paints to look like a cafe and used chalkboard paint on part of it so they can write the menu or just to draw on.
