Shiny floor leaves a good first impression
The first impression of a home buyer should be a good one. This is as simple as spraying a tile, marble or even PERGO floor with window spray (scented with lemon also leaves a nice natural scent) and wipe clean with a paper towel attached to your hardwood floor mop. Going from the back of your house and "cleaning your way out the door" assures that there will be NO footprints left and that the prospective buyers will see gleaming floors!

Check financing options before buying car
When purchasing a vehicle, do research into the financing. At the end of the deal, you can mention "XYZ is offering.... What can you do?" This shows you have done your homework by knowing what offers are available, it gives the impression that you are not SOLD on this vehicle alone, and it allows them to meet an offer. Many times dealers have "wiggle room" in financing and this is a good way to get the best deal possible without being rude.

How to increase sale of kids items at yard sale
Put them all on one table and have your kids make a sign out of crayon (or something else cute) that says, "Proceeds go to purchase of _____." They could be saving up for a lemonade stand or even a trip to Disneyland. It looks really cute too if you can convince your kids to staff their table during the yard sale.

Avoid feeling overwhelmed when moving
Set a goal each day for yourself of packing X number of boxes to take to charity, as trash, and to take with you to your new home. Though you will realize there is much left to do, when you accomplish your goal, you will feel satisfaction that you are one step closer to moving than you were yesterday.

How to stretch your grocery budget even more
Each week make menus for each night's dinner. Try to get ideas for meals from looking at what's on sale and what you have coupons for. Then, make your list from that, and only buy what's on the list.

How to save money on your house repairs
Tell your contractor they can put up a sign in front of your house in exchange for a discount on your house repairs. You can save anywhere between 10-50% off depending on your negotiation skills and how hungry the contractor is for future business. This works for roofing, windows, fencing, sun decks and painting.

How to save money at Starbucks
Now that summer's coming up, we're all wanting refreshing cold drinks. If you order an Iced Latte it costs you $3.55. All they do is put cold milk in your espresso. From now on, just order a Venti Triple Espresso on the rocks and add your own milk at the stand and it'll only cost you $2.15! You'll save $1.40! It's nothing different than they do.

How to get your family to prepare for showing
When selling your home, often you only have a short time to ready the house. Think ahead and make a list of jobs for each family member to be responsible for. Even elementary age kids can help dry mop floors, pick up trash or spray rooms with Lysol. With a list in hand, this also has an added bonus of eliminating people yelling "what do I do now?" Better planning makes for a better showing and a better showing makes for a sale!
